This was a tricky shot. It is composite of 20 shots with different depths of focus....which was achieved by my body distance away from the spider. Lucky for me, the spider was busy sucking out the liquefied innards of the fly and didn't move during the shots.>...

The room was pretty dark, so I used off camera flash (SB-900) bouncing off the ceiling to get the color and light I wanted.

A bit soft in terms of sharpness, but this was mostly due to the light leaking between the lens and the camera body. it is important to get this gap tight. I used a dark cloth. If not, you will get tons of flare!
