Little Olivia took the plunge today. It was a great day filled with family and friends for a huge outdoor feast and party. Relatives came from far and wide..ok Calgary..for the event. A good reason to catch up and have fun.

Took a small trip down to Calgary for the weekend to spend with my godson Nik. It had been quite some time since we last met and it seems that he has turned himself into a bit of a young man. I must say that he has been able to balance his life through his transition from boy to man quite well with ample time spent in the basement playing video games on a gigantic flat screen while maintaining a relationship with a lovely young lady. Regardless, the day of his grad was an emotional one for all in the family including me. I can still remember the day that I baptized him when I was 18ish and he was hardly one years old and now 18 years later.....well you know. I was very proud to see him accepting his diploma and knowing he was well on his way to university the next year. And despite all the time we spent apart with travels abroad and living in a different province, we were still able to sit down and battle it out with a pair of RC helicopters!! Thanks for the great weekend. Hope to spend more together in the near future.
