This is how I like to spend my Sundays all the time if I could. Imagine this if you will. I get a late night call/ text for a family portrait session for the next day...Sunday. Luckily, I had the day free to spend time with family, but I really enjoy hanging with the clients so I agree. I show up with my family in tow at the clients home. We are greeted at the door with big warm smiles hugs and a hot cappuccino! Now that's a good start. I quickly unpack my gear, tests a few lighting shots pick my background and then I'm ready. With the family in position, I click away and 15 min later we are done. Well. The kids are done. I hand over my camera to the clients to view the photos, and I can tell immediately that they are happy and the shoot is a wrap! Nice! But it gets better! Hey, why don't you stay for brunch, they ask. How can I refuse. Nice, yes but it gets even better! The patriarch picks up a guitar and starts to play some serious smooth tunes! Oh, yeah, now that is what I call an easy Sunday!

I couldn't resist making a tongue-in-cheek photo when I discovered an old music box while rummaging around in my basement. It sort of is the first generation iPod player! All solid state! Well, that could be argued with all the moving parts but when I saw this box dropped and thrown to the ground many times by my niece, I believe it is solid. Only drawback, the playlist is one song long, but on the up side, no batteries!
